Final Red Carpet Event 2013

I was privileged to attend last Saturday’s red carpet event at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC).  It was the Company’s 21st Anniversary Event.  This year’s theme was “Bridging People Across Boundaries”.  It was really a great event, celebrating all the newly crowned Crown Diamond Managers (CDM) of 2013.

TLC also celebrated the day as one of us, CDM Izyan Liyana, was one of the CDM that were crowned that day.  We are so very proud of her for achieving RM2,000,000 sales volume in business.  Superb achievement!  In sya Allah my target is to take centerstage during next year’s event. Doa kan la ya…

Managed to throw on something nice and dolled up for the day.

Being the simple me, I opted for a simple yet elegant jumpsuit and had paired it up with a chiffon cardigan by Al-Humaira Contemporary.

The event started off with the new Premium Beautiful Elegance launch, with the Brazilian Model, Dani Maia modelling the corset on the runaway.  Will update more on this later.

Here are the pictures from the event courtesy of my mentor, CDM Salha Zain’s photographer, Khairil Khairudin.

The event was really an eye opener that everyone can achieve their dream.  They only need to work for it (and tawakkal to Allah s.w.t) and in sya Allah, success is theirs.  So I am all set to achieve my target for 2014.  Time to chart my journey to the next Anniversary Red Carpet Event in 2014.

Project Sampul Duit Raya Gemoksss

Can you recall the joy that you felt during hari raya when you were young?

New baju raya…

raya4_beautiful pleasureNew shoes…

Kuih Raya…

raya3_beautiful pleasureand most importantly (for kids la kan)… DUIT RAYA!

raya5_beautiful pleasure

Those were the most important things for kids when it comes to Hari Raya…

Now, as an adult, you would have to ensure that there is enough cash/savings to be spent for Raya…

No doubt that our ibadah (fasting and solat tarawikh) are important and should be given our utmost priority during Ramadhan.

However, our duty as a parent and also as a daughter/son to our parents is to make sure that they have all the necessary means to celebrate Syawal joyously.

Even though our parents would not ask for much, you definitely would love to see the joy on their face when you buy them new baju raya or baju melayu to be worn on Raya morning.

Even though our parents did not ask for money, you would love to see the glow on their faces when you hand them a huge, fat angpau during the raya morning.

raya_beautiful pleasureEven though our parents said that they have everything under control, you would love to seem them gleaming with pride when you take charge and buy them the kuih raya and maybe new furniture for the house.

It is not that you are trying to show off.  No, that should be last thing on your mind when you do all of the above.

What you want to do is just to make them happy, like how they have made you happy during Hari Raya when you were small.

What you want to do is just to shower them with love, just like how they have showered you with their love when you were small.

raya2_beautiful pleasure

The question is…….

How can you get an extra RM3,000 or RM5,000 or even RM10,000 in time for raya?  You current monthly expenses does not allow you to save as much to be spend for raya?

Trust me…. There is a legit way to make RM10,000 in time for raya this year.  I will try my best to share my knowledge that I have been privileged to learn from the leaders of Top Leaders Circle.

It has been proven that many has successfully achieved their target to fatten up their sampul duit raya last year.  Hence, the project continues this year…

This is the wonders of doing business the Top Leaders Circle way.  Everything is guided and if you just follow your mentor, InsyaAllah, success will entails.

So, let’s set a target to do more amal jariah this year, besides making our parents and children happy.  Donate some extra cash to the needy.  Spread the joy by providing the orphans new baju raya and maybe some angpau to brighten their Hari Raya.

Confession of a Working Mummy – Balancing work, leave and the sick child

Both of my kids have been having the bouts of cough and flu, especially Noah since January this year.  The doctor said that he has a bad sinus that his nose could not filter off the germs and that causes him to get sick easily.  I have been taking him to the doctor’s clinic almost every other week since the beginning of the year… And I hate the fact that I even had to pull him out of playschool as he had to skip class every few days/weeks due to his sickness…

IMG_20130322_082156

Zayd had been warded for 3 days last 2 weeks due to acute bronchilitis.  At 5 months of age, it is heart-breaking to see my baby to go through such ordeal.  I kept on praying to Allah to get him out of his misery and just let me bare the pain.  I just could not stand to watch him in pain every time they try to give him the nebulizer… Kesian ok…

IMG_20130410_151737 IMG_20130412_223743

As a mother, I wish I could be by my sons’ side every single day, especially when they are sick.  However, as a working mother, I also have the duty to show up at work and perform my role in order to fulfill my KPI.  Hence, my mind would not be at peace every time I had to go to work when I know my sons are unwell…

mmexport1366595496342 mmexport1366595521075

I do not know whether my current superior understands my situation right now.  I have been taking annual leave and emergency leave quite frequent for the past 3 months plus.  What makes it worse is that I just came back from maternity leave in January.  I do not want to be marked as an under performing employee just because I have been taking leaves because I make sure that I complete and deliver my work on time as required.  However, knowing him, he will definitely take my leaves as a factor during the appraisal session later.

How do you, working mummies like me do it?

Thank God I am venturing into this SOHO online business and building up my coffers in order for me to take a permanent leave from work.  The income that I get from this business is growing exponentially and I am praying hard that the day will come very soon that I would be able to stay at home with my sons and provide them with the attention and care that they need.  Do pray that I can achieve this dream…

Here is an interesting article that I found in The Star this morning that I wished to share with all of you…

Balancing work, leave and the sick child

By ZIEMAN

It is never easy to deal with sick children especially when you are a working parent. This is the dilemma that working parents face. It is actually a tough decision whether to take leave or leave the kids with relatives or a babysitter.

Most working parents feel guilty having to send their sick children to the day care centre, but sometimes they are left with no choice especially if they don’t have a helper nor supportive relatives, and they have exhausted their annual leave.

Social media executive Diana Roslam, 28, finds herself in a fix each time she has to take her child for her immunisation jabs or when one-year-old Emma Arianna falls ill. Her husband works out of town and although her extended family is ever supportive, the onus is on her to take care of her child at such times.

“I’m lucky that the place that I’m working at is close to home. I get 15 days off in a year. But it’s only April and I’ve already used up seven days; four days in the hospital and three days of her having fever due to teething. I find myself counting the days left and sometimes saying ‘No’ to having a couple of days off from the hectic-ness at work just because I want to keep the leave for ‘Emma-gencies’.

“As a mother to a young toddler, I feel guilty leaving her at home but if I were to give up my job, I would not be able to provide her the future that my husband and I want for her. We wouldn’t be able to buy her toys, educational books, diapers and milk, among other things. For now, my priority is to balance work and family, and at the same time, try to hold on to whatever makes my baby happy.

“I love my baby and would do anything for her. If I could, I’d stay home with her and teach her all the things that I want her to know, but I don’t have the luxury of doing so. There are bills to be paid and of course, THAT piece of paper that I worked hard on when I graduated from university,” explains Diana.
